'Avengers 4': '13 Reasons Why' Star Katherine Langford Secretly Joins Cast

Netflix‘s “13 Reasons Why” star Katherine Langford has reportedly joined the cast of “Avengers 4,” according to TheWrap. So do we add her to the list of Marvel heroes whose fate is still unknown?

According to TheWrap, Langford has already filmed her scenes, but her role in the film is still unknown. However, representatives for Langford have denied her involvement. The questions are, was she always in the cast? A new addition to the films added in the recently wrapped-up reshoots? All of it is unknown right now, but that hasn’t stopped from speculating wildly on who she might play. An as-of-yet unintroduced member of the gestating Eternals film? An older Cassie Lang (Ant-Man’s daughter)? Who knows, but the rumor mill is already starting to churn.

Langford earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why,”  in which she played a high school student, Hannah Baker, who left behind a series of tapes after her suicide, before exiting the show after two seasons. She went on to star in the young adult adaption of “Love, Simon.”

The actress will return to Netflix, for their horror series “Cursed,” from graphic novelist/director Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler based on a book reimagining of King Arthur’s legend. In “Cursed” she will play Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful Lady of the Lake.

The currently untitled “Avengers 4,” rumored to be titled, but not confirmed as “Avengers: Annihilation” opens May 3, 2019, and is directed by “Avengers: Infinity War” filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo, but it’s heavily assumed the movie will move to the last week of April as predecessor was. “Infinity War” grossed more than $2 billion for Disney and Marvel Studios. Production for “Avengers 4” wrapped earlier this month.

Langford is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Independent Management Company in Australia.
