As seen in the teaser, “Lamb” follows the story of a couple that lives on a rural farm in Iceland. However, the footage from the new teaser doesn’t explore much more of the plot, other than to say there’s a new addition to the family that is likely not exactly what you think it might be. Needless to say, there’s plenty of atmosphere and tone oozing out of the footage that shows why “Lamb” is a must-see at this year’s Cannes.

The film stars Noomi Rapace, Hilmir Snaer Gudnason, and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson. “Lamb” comes from director Valdimar Jóhannsson, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside writer, Sjón. The new drama marks the feature debut for Jóhannsson.
