This Christmas, Mary Poppins is indeed returning. The famous Disney character, portrayed by Julie Andrews in the 1964 classic, is coming back to the big screen, with the same mixture of song, dance, and whimsy that made her iconic. However, this time, there’s a new Mary.
Emily Blunt takes over for Andrews in “Mary Poppins Returns,” and in the new “sneak peek” at the upcoming film, we see that she just very well might be the perfect choice as the famous nanny that comes back to the Banks family after decades away. This time, the Banks children are grown, with children of their own. However, much like they did in the first film, Mary Poppins returns just in time to help the family through their most recent rut.
