Look, we watch a lot of trailers at The Playlist. More than half of the trailers that are sent to us typically don’t even get write-ups because they’re either too niche or look just downright horrible. But if you want to grab our attention, the marketing behind the upcoming film, “Megalopolis,” is doing it in spades, as a new trailer is released that is legit attempting to expand our Third Eye Chakra.

Now, you wouldn’t know it just by watching the footage shown. But there is a bit of a tone that is used throughout the footage that might stand out to the casual movie-goer as odd. That tone, however, is exactly what makes this trailer so unique. According to the musicians behind the score, Mimi Xu and MAGUIRE of the duo Awkward Moments, the 852 Hz frequency used in this trailer is said to “stimulate the Third Eye Chakra, helping open and balance this energy center. This can lead to heightened intuition and deeper insight into one’s life and surroundings.”
So, not only is the “Megalopolis” trailer trying to entice you enough to buy tickets to see it on the big screen, but it’s also good for your mental health. At least, supposedly.

The score duo continued by saying the special frequency is “a powerful tool for those seeking to expand their spiritual awareness and tap into higher levels of consciousness.”
So, keep watching this “Megalopolis” trailer and expand your spiritual awareness today! (Your mileage, obviously, may vary.) “Megalopolis” is set to arrive in theaters on September 27. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
Megalopolis is a Roman Epic set in an imagined Modern America. The City of New Rome must change, causing conflict between Cesar Catilina (Adam Driver), a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esposito), who remains committed to a regressive status quo, perpetuating greed, special interests, and partisan warfare. Torn between them is socialite Julia Cicero (Nathalie Emmanuel), the mayor’s daughter, whose love for Cesar has divided her loyalties, forcing her to discover what she truly believes humanity deserves.
