Robert Pattinson Reveals The NSFW Scene Cut From 'Good Time'

Next week, “Good Time” heads into theatres, and of all the post-“Twilight” roles Robert Pattinson has taken, this is certainly his wildest. With a bleached blonde look, and sporting scrubby facial hair, the film follows his Connie Nikas as he spends one night trying to reverse an unending string of bad decisions and terrible luck after a bank heist goes terribly wrong. Directed by Josh and Benny Safdie, a lot of the film was shot guerrilla style in New York City, and they often filmed on locations without securing permission first. There seemed to be an “anything goes” spirit to the filmmaking, including one scene cut from the movie.

Pattinson swung by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (via E!), and revealed the scenes of one particularly outrageous scene that was cut from the film.

“Oh, God! I don’t even know if I can say this. There are a lot of things in this movie which really cross the line of legality,” he said. “Like, it’s not even on the line. It’s way beyond the line.”

“There’s a big dog. There was actually, sadly, another dog which was cast, who is this big dog’s son, but it died just before. Mustafa, who is the father and this huge, huge dog, was initially in this scene… My character, Connie, has this affinity with dogs; he thinks he is a dog in a previous life and he thinks he has control over animals,” Pattinson continued. “There’s this one scene we shot— there’s a drug dealer who busts into the room, and I was sleeping with the dog and basically giving the dog a hand job.”

If you think the story ends there, guess again, because the Safdies initially wanted Pattinson to actually pleasure the dog himself. That was one line the actor wouldn’t cross.

“It was a character thing. I asked the trainer [about it] because the director was like, ‘Just do it for real, man! Don’t be a pussy!’ And the dog’s owner was like, ‘Well, he’s a breeder. I mean, you can. You just gotta massage the inside of his thighs.’ I was like, ‘Just massage the inside of his thighs?!’ I didn’t agree to do the real one, so we made a fake red rocket,” he explained.

That’s kinda crazy, and if you’re wondering if you’ll ever get to see the scene, Pattinson says it’ll be on the DVD extras of the film.

“Good Time” opens on August 11th.
