Debuting two years ago, “Smile” became a runaway box office hit and launched the career of filmmaker Parker Finn. Suddenly, the director was responsible for one of the biggest horror films of the year and really could make whatever he wanted next. Apparently, what he wanted to do next was a proper sequel to his original film.

As seen in the trailer, “Smile 2” continues the story of the evil force that haunts people. However, the trick behind this demonic entity is the fact that he makes normal people smile in a really creepy way. And sadly, the only way to end the situation is to die. That’s the situation that faces Skye Riley, a mega popular pop star who is now the target of this entity. As she embarks on a massive tour, she finds herself having to deal with all the creepy smiles.
The cast includes Naomi Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Ray Nicholson, Dylan Gelula, Raúl Castillo, and Kyle Gallner.
“Smile 2” arrives in theaters on October 18, just in time for Halloween. You can watch the trailer below.
