Got a Tip?

Sylvester Stallone Will Reportedly Recut ‘Bullet To The Head’ Himself For A November Release

nullUpdate: Well, turns out Walter Hill is still very much at the helm of this one as Sylvester Stallone tells AICN that those rumors are "an egregious lie, I have nothing to do with the editing to BULLET TO THE HEAD.  Walter is doing a FANTASTIC job!  I think it is a FANTASTIC job and he's editing it!" Still no word on why the movie got yanked off the calendar though…

So, who knows better how to cut a film: Walter Hill (the man behind "The Warriors" and "48 Hours" but who hasn't made a decent movie since the '90s) or Sylvester Stallone (who is currently trying to make '80s movie schlock a revamped genre)? Well, while arguments can be made for both sides, at least when it comes to "Bullet To The Head," there is one clear winner.

According to Twitch, Sylvester Stallone will be overseeing a new/final cut of the film, thought it's not clear why Hill's work was not approved. As you might remember, the action pic was taken off the calendar by the studio from its original April 13th date. The plan now is release the film in November, though nothing is official just yet (IMDB has December 2012 listed, so perhaps there's something to this).

Hopefully we'll find out eventually what caused the film be held up for more tinkering, but at least from a publicity standpoint, it's never a good sign. But the premise is promising, with the film centering on a New Orleans hitman (Sly) and a Gotham cop (Sung Kang), who team up to take down the men responsible for their partners’ murders, with the conspiracy leading all the way to Washington, D.C. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christian Slater, Holt McCallany and Sarah Shahi co-star in the movie, with "Conan" dude Jason Momoa playing the lead villain. Conan vs. Rocky? How could it not be good, right? Either way, this has the potential to be the most grunt and mumble-filled movie of the year.
