'The Boys' NSFW Trailer: Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg's Ultra-Violent/Sexual Superhero Series Answers Some Very Weird Questions

When you watch superhero films or TV series, you see the ideal people receiving great gifts and using them for the good of society and the world. Basically, what if the Kardashians were superheroes? That’s the premise behind the upcoming Amazon series “The Boys.”

And in the new, very violent/sexual trailer for the series, we see what happens when superheroes get out of control, but not in the villainy way. Ever wondered what it would be like if Ant-Man decided to use his shrinking powers to…uh, enter a woman? How about what it would be like if Wonder Woman decided to sit on a man’s face, but loses control of her strength? “The Boys” has your answer.

The series follows a group of shadowy, underground vigilantes, dubbed The Boys, as they make it their mission to teach these narcissistic, a-hole superheroes what’s what, by any means necessary. It’s based on the comic book series of the same name from creators Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

“The Boys” comes from creators Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and “Supernatural” mastermind Eric Kripke. And as you might expect from those names, don’t expect the series to pull punches or be anything less than ultra-R-rated.

“The Boys” hits Amazon on July 26.

Here’s the synopsis:

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.
