Earlier this week, Netflix announced that Morgan Spector will play Dan Brown‘s protagonist Robert Langdon in their upcoming series adaptation of “The Secret Of Secrets,” the sixth book in the Langdon book series. And now we have word on Spector’s first co-star on the show, and it’s none other than his wife, Rebecca Hall.
Hall will play Katherine Solomon in the still-untitled series, Langdon’s scientist girlfriend who goes missing after giving a lecture in Prague about a manuscript whose research could permanently change humanity’s understanding of the mind. Read on for an official synopsis, courtesy of Netflix:
In Dan Brown’s thrilling novel, symbologist Robert Langdon races against ancient forces and time to rescue a missing scientist and her groundbreaking manuscript whose discoveries have the power to forever change humanity’s understanding of the mind. The series adaptation (currently untitled) will blend futuristic science with mystical lore, delivering on the heart-pounding suspense and international intrigue that has made the Langdon stories a global phenomenon.
As noted earlier this week, TV veteran Carlton Cuse will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer on the series, with Brown on board as co-creator and executive producer. Other exec producers include Emma Forman via Genre Arts, and Zoe Robyn.
Netflix’s “The Secret Of Secrets” adaptation continues the tradition of adapting Brown’s Langdon books, with all but one of the six books making it to the big and small screen. The most famous, of course, are Ron Howard‘s films with Tom Hanks as Langdon: 2006’s “The Da Vinci Code,” 2009’s “Angels & Demons,” and 2016’s “Inferno.” The third book in the series, “The Lost Symbol,” was adapted into a Peacock series in 2021. “Origin,” the fifth Langdon novel from 2017, remains unadapted.
Hall adds Cuse’s series to a busy schedule that also includes another Netflix series, Ryan Murphy‘s latest “Monster” anthology series, about murderer Lizzie Borden. Other upcoming projects for the actress include the films “A Head Full Of Ghosts” opposite David Harbour and “Zero Protocol.” Hall also recently starred in another Murphy series, “The Beauty.” She’s onscreen next in Adam Wingard‘s “Onslaught,” in theaters on September 4, with two Cannes 2026 world premieres awaiting distribution: “The Man I Love“ and “The End Of It.”
So, who else will join Hall and Spector on “The Secret Of Secrets”? Stay tuned as the series inches closer to production. Expect Netflix to release it in late 2027.
