Tilda Swinton Has Wrapped Filming On A Secret Feature With Director Joanna Hogg

At The Playlist, we are firm believers that more Tilda Swinton is always a good thing. So, when we find out the actress has not one, but two new projects in development, we can’t help but jump for joy. And when you look at the filmmakers she’s collaborating with, these new features are projects we’ll easily include in our most anticipated films lists.

According to the new issue of Vogue UK (via The Film Stage), Swinton was interviewed about her upcoming projects and revealed that she has a new film already wrapped with director Joanna Hogg. No, this isn’t “The Souvenir: Part II,” which we already knew about. This secret project is something brand-new and the report claims that it’s actually titled “The Eternal Daughter” and will co-star Carly-Sophia Davies and Joseph Mydell. And yes, it appears the film is already wrapped. This means, we could have an extra Swinton/Hogg film to get excited for in the coming year.

In addition, a new report from The Sydney Morning Herald revealed that Swinton is also going to team up with filmmaker Christopher Doyle for a new feature titled “Immunodeficiency.” The film is set to include actor Joe Odagiri and will tell the story of a beekeeper that flies to Australia and is held captive by an obsessive young woman. For those not familiar, Doyle is the famed cinematographer that has worked with Wong Kar Wai on a number of projects. However, it appears “Immunodeficiency” will be his first non-Hong Kong feature he has helmed since 2008’s “Warsaw Dark.”

So, there you have it, folks. In addition to projects we already knew about, such as the aforementioned “The Souvenir: Part II” and the now-in-production George Miller film, “Three Thousand Years of Longing,” it appears that we have a couple of more features with Tilda Swinton to look forward to.
