Tim Heidecker Joins The Already Amazing Cast Of Jordan Peele's 'Get Out' Follow-Up 'Us'

One of the best aspects to Jordan Peele’s breakthrough directorial debut “Get Out,” is the incredible cast he lined up. Featuring actors like Daniel Kaluuya, Lil Rel Howery, Lakeith Stanfield, Allison Williams, and Caleb Landry Jones, Peele was able to put together a cast of incredible actors for his debut. Now, for his second feature film, Peele is putting together a cast that has just as many great actors, but also a surprise or two.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Peele has brought on Tim Heidecker to star in his latest film, “Us.” If the name doesn’t sound familiar, then you’re probably not obsessed with Adult Swim. Heidecker is one half the duo that has created “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” and “Tim & Eric’s Bedtime Stories.” He’s known for his more absurdist comedy skills but is no stranger to the big screen. Heidecker has appeared in “Brigsby Bear,” “Bridesmaids,” and most recently, in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in “Ant-Man and the Wasp.”

Heidecker joins the already-stacked cast of “Us,” which includes Lupita Nyong’o, Elisabeth Moss, and “Black Panther’sWinston Duke. Details on the plot are scarce, at the moment, but reports suggest the film will focus on two couples, one white and one black, and will feature the same social satire that made “Get Out” a cultural phenomenon last year.

As with “Get Out,” Jordan Peele is, obviously, writing and directing “Us.” And once again, he’s teaming up with Jason Blum, of Blumhouse Productions, to help produce the film for Universal. Previously, Universal had released a statement about the film, calling it “another original and provocative thriller.” Basically, it doesn’t sound like we’re going to get much of an idea about what this film is really about until the first trailer.

Universal is scheduled to release “Us” on March 15, 2019.
