Tony Gilroy‘s follow-up to the Emmy-winning “Star Wars” series “Andor,” will be the film “Behemoth!” and has landed a new co-star for Pedro Pascal (“The Mandalorian & Grogu“).
According to a report hailing from Deadline, “Stranger Things” and “Thunderbolts” actor David Harbour is in negotiations for an undisclosed part in the gestating feature project, which follows a cellist and film composer. Written and directed by Gilroy, the project is set up at Disney‘s Searchlight Pictures with the creative set as producer alongside Sanne Wohlenberg.
Harbour was recently involved with the production of The Russo Brothers‘ big Multiverse event film “Avengers: Doomsday” (Pascal co-stars as Mister Fanatastic) with an expectation that he’ll reprise the Red Guardian role in “Avengers: Secret Wars” and whatever is next for The New Avengers team (that’s if the Russian heroic supersoldier survives the events of these next MCU installments).
His genre projects don’t stop with Marvel as he voiced Frankenstein in James Gunn‘s recent DC Comics mature animated series “Creature Commandos” (could be called upon to reprise the part for the live-action iteration) and is currently filming “Violent Night 2,” where he plays a neck-snapping version of Santa Claus.
We’ll have to be patient concerning a release date, as Disney/Searchlight is expected to announce that in the future. Cameras are said to begin rolling on “Behemoth!” this fall in Los Angeles, California.
