A Quiet Place: Day One” is the next installment in Jon Krasinski‘s alien invasion series, but it won’t feature the Abbott Family from the first two films. Instead, “Day One” will feature a story about all-new survivors who face off against the franchise’s monsters that hunt through their excellent sense of hearing. Don’t worry, Abbott Family fans: the third installment of their saga is in development. But “Day One” comes first, although plot details for the film are a secret right now.

Michael Sarnoski, who directed 2020’s “Pig” with Nicolas Cage, will helm “Day One” for Paramount Pictures. He directs a script based on an original concept by Krasinski, although the series creator doesn’t write it.
