Considering the streamer’s recent success with “Bird Box,” “The Haunting of Hill House” and “Gerald’s Game,” it makes sense for Netflix to continue bringing its subscribers the scares they’re clearly flocking to, and that’s something THR also made a note of.

“Sources (say) the tone is similar to Netflix’s acclaimed series ‘The Haunting of Hill House,’” the outlet states.

It’s been some time since Seyfriend has been a name in horror, having last starred in the more horror-lite fare of 2011’s “Red Riding Hood” and 2009’s “Jennifer Body,” but THR noted she is also set for a role in the upcoming horror mystery “You Should Have Left” from iconic Hollywood scribe David Koepp.

“Things Heard & Seen” does not yet have a premiere date, but it’s being helmed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini—the duo behind 2004’s Oscar-nominated “American Splendor,” plus indies like “Extra Man” and “Girl Most Likely” starring Kristen Wiig.
