Gregg Turkington‘s comedy isn’t for everyone. Under his guise as sleazy, skeezy, button pushing standup Neil Hamburger, he has perversely offended audiences with his ribald, off-putting show captured on a handful of cult classic records. And while "Entertainment" isn’t about Neil Hamburger, it riffs on a similar persona to hilarious, surreal effect in one of the most distinctive comedies of the year. Today we have an exclusive clip from the film.
Co-written with Turkington’s "On Cinema At The Cinema" partner Tim Heidecker and director Rick Alverson, "Entertainment" centers on an aging comedian who tours the California desert, lost in a cycle of third-rate venues and novelty tourist attractions, as he makes attempts to reach his estranged daughter.
Co-starring John C. Reilly, Tye Sheridan, Michael Cera, Amy Seimetz and Lotte Verbeek, "Entertainment" opens on VOD, iTunes, and theaters on November 13th. Watch below.
