'Hubie Halloween' Trailer: Adam Sandler Tries To Protect A Criminal From Ruining Halloween In New Family Netflix Film

No matter what you think of the Sandman’s films, Adam Sandler brings the talent. Take his new film, a family Halloween movie called “Hubie Halloween.” The cast stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Julie Bowen, Maya Rudolph, Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Michael Chiklis, Kenan Thompson, China Anne McClain, Paris Berelc, Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, June Squibb, Shaquille O’Neal, Karan Brar, Noah Schnapp, Mikey Day, Melissa Villaseñor, Kym Whitley, Lavell Crawford, Betsy Sodaro, George Wallace, and Blake Clark.

Much of this is because “Hubie Halloween,” directed by Sandler go-to director Steven Brill, is a Netflix film, they have deep pockets and they looooove Adam Sandler and what he does for their algorithm (keeps people watching). According to Netflix, audiences have spent a whopping two billion hours watching his films since 2015.

So, fresh off the release of his last film, “Murder Mystery,” supposedly Sandler’s most popular Netflix film to date, the company announced they had extended their deal with Sandler and Happy Madison Productions to make four more films. And “Hubie Halloween” is the first of this extended new deal (Sandler also has an animated feature film that he will write, produce, and star in as a voice actor in the works at the studio).

Here’s the official synopsis:

Hubie Dubois (Adam Sandler) thanklessly spends every Halloween making sure the residents of his hometown, Salem, celebrate safely and play by the rules. But this year, an escaped criminal and a mysterious new neighbor have Hubie on high alert. When people start disappearing, it’s up to Hubie to convince the police (Kevin James, Kenan Thompson) and townsfolk that the monsters are real, and only he can stop them. Hubie Halloween is a hilarious family film about an unlikely hero with an all-star cast including Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, Noah Schnapp, Steve Buscemi and Maya Rudolph, produced by Happy Madison.
