Shooting starts soon on Reid Carolin‘s “Isle Of Man” over at Amazon MGM Studios, but who else will star in the motorcycle racing film opposite Channing Tatum? Deadline has the scoop there, and it’s Irish actress Eve Hewson.
“Isle Of Man” is the second blockbuster role in a row for Hewson after “Disclosure Day,” Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming UAP movie in theaters on June 12. But Carolin’s film couldn’t be more different than Spielberg’s. It’s a big-budget picture that revolves around the Isle of Man TT, the world’s oldest continuously run motorsport event. No word yet on who Hewson (or Tatum) plays in the movie, but expect one or both of them to be racers who take on the TT.
Carolin writes the script for “Isle Of Man” with Jason Keller and Bryan Johnson; he also produces with Tatum via his Free Association banner. Other producers on the film include Brad Pitt via Plan B, and Guymon Casady and Keller via Entertainment 360.
As announced last summer, a docuseries about the Isle of Man TT will shoot alongside “Isle Of Man,” focusing on the race and granting exclusive access to its participants. Free Association, Plan B, and Entertainment 360 will also produce the series, along with Box to Box Films and Mediawan.
Best known for her various TV roles, Hewson is coming off of Noah Baumbach‘s “Jay Kelly,” with “Disclosure Day” her next onscreen release. Other recent work for the actress includes Netflix‘s “The Perfect Couple,” “Bad Sisters,” and “Flora and Son.” Hewson’s also got a film from Lenny Abrahamson on the way, and she’ll star in it with Tom Burke.
Amazon MGM doesn’t have a release date yet for “Isle Of Man,” so stay tuned for when it’ll hit theaters.
