Got a Tip?

Jake Gyllenhaal In Talks To Experience Bayhem As The Star Of Michael Bay’s Next Film, ‘Ambulance’

This is not a test, people. We have a Michael Bay alert! Make sure to say a prayer for the cars that are going to explode, the big guns that will be fired, the muscles that will need to be oiled up, and the cinematographer that will have to do so, so, so many slow-motion hero shots. All this to say, Michael Bay has a new film in development, titled “Ambulance,” and he’s looking at one of the best actors in the world to star.

According to Deadline, Michael Bay’s new film is going to be “Ambulance,” an action film said to be reminiscent of “Bad Boys” and “Speed.” The director is hoping to begin work on the film in early 2021 and he’s already talking to Jake Gyllenhaal to star. Yes, Jake Gyllenhaal. In a Michael Bay movie. For Real.

Again, not much is known about the plot of the film, except we can infer that an ambulance will likely play a pivotal role in the production. Along with bombs, guns, fast cars, pretty women, and muscles. You know, the things you’ve come to expect from Mr. Bayhem himself.

Landing Gyllenhaal is a big “get” for Bay. Not that the filmmaker has trouble landing huge stars. That’s kinda his deal. For his previous film, “6 Underground,” he nabbed Ryan Reynolds for the lead role. But Gyllenhaal is one of the busier actors in Hollywood, as he’s currently in production on a new film, “The Guilty,” directed by Antoine Fuqua, and recently announced that he’s working with Denis Villeneuve on a new HBO series, “The Son.” All of this in addition to the various other projects in various other stages of development.

With production hoping to begin in early 2021, it’s quite likely we’ll see Bayhem return either in late 2021 or 2022. The only question is which studio will land the project? The report claims Universal is interested, but with Netflix spending a lot for “6 Underground,” it wouldn’t be shocking to see the streamer become a player too.
