'Jiu Jitsu' Trailer: Nicolas Cage Wants You To Use Martial Arts To Fight Aliens In This Obvious Best Picture Contender

There has to be given the sheer number of planets in an ever-expanding universe. Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about any sort of alien invasions or anything crazy like that. Why, you may ask? Humans have a secret weapon. Nope, not nukes. Even better. We have…Jiu Jitsu. Oh yeah, and we also have Nicolas Cage.

As seen in the new trailer for the martial arts action film, “Jiu Jitsu,” Nicolas Cage stars as a bit of a crazy person with an extreme knowledge of aliens and how to defeat them with a very specific fighting style. Yes, it’s just Nicolas Cage playing himself. Hey-Oh! Seriously though, this film is literally about a guy telling various fighters how to stop aliens through the power of the martial art known as Jiu Jitsu. Yes, this film is easily the top contender for the Best Picture Oscar. Fight me.

The film actually does have a plot, but even the short synopsis sounds batshit crazy:

“An ancient order of Jiu Jitsu fighters faces a vicious race of alien invaders in an epic battle for the survival of Earth.”

The film stars Nicolas Cage opposite Alain Moussi, Frank Grillo, Rick Yune, Marie Avgeropoulos, Juju Chan, and Tony Jaa. As if Cage needed anyone else. Silly movie! (But for real, Frank Grillo and Tony Jaa are legends, and probably will do great work in this. Just saying.) “Jiu Jitsu” is directed by Dimitri Logothetis, who is probably best known for his work on “Kickboxer: Retaliation.”
