‘Death in the Family’ sees Jason Clarke take on the role of Alex Murdaugh. He is also seen in Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming film “A House of Dynamite.” Oscar winner Patricia Arquette joins the accomplished actor as Murdaugh’s wife, Maggie. Arquette reflected on how this role differs from her previous efforts in an interview with EW. “I have died so many times in movies, I have to say, but there’s something different about it when you really think that person loves you ’til the last second,” she told the outlet.
“Murdaugh: Death in the Family” also features Johnny Berchtold as Paul Murdaugh, Will Harrison as Buster Murdaugh, Brittany Snow as Mandy Matney, and J. Smith-Cameron as Marian Proctor.
The series’ official synopsis:
“On the surface, Alex Murdaugh (Clarke) seems to have it all: wealth, status, and unchecked privilege in rural Hampton County, South Carolina, where four generations of Murdaughs have built a sprawling legal dynasty. But when a deadly accident shines a harsh spotlight on Alex, his wife Maggie (Arquette), and their sons Buster and Paul, the almighty Murdaugh facade begins to crumble leading Alex to take increasingly desperate measures to preserve the family name and protect his own dark secrets.”

The first three episodes of “Murdaugh: Death In the Family” will debut on October 15 on Hulu and Disney+. Subsequent episodes debut each week, with the finale set for November 19. Watch the new trailer for this series below.
