It seems three redheads in one superhero movie is just too much. With Gwyneth Paltrow on board and Jessica Chastain signing up a couple of days ago, it looks like "Iron Man 3" is unfortuantely going to be less one more beautiful woman.
ScreenRant recently chatted with Scarlett Johansson who was doing the rounds for "The Avengers," and the actress revealed that despite reports at the end of last month, she will not be putting on the skin-tight body suit to play Black Widow in "Iron Man 3." Our guess is that scheduling is an issue, with the Marvel movie gearing up to shoot imminently for its release next year, and ScarJo busy this spring with "Hitchcock" and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut. Her busy calendar also seems to be conflicting with John Carney's "Can A Song Save Your Life?" which would have seen her reteam with Mark Ruffalo, with the actor saying recently she was unlikely to appear.
That being said, considering that Kevin Feige and co. aren't opposed to shooting new scenes even weeks before a movie opens, who knows if Black Widow/Natasha Romanov will be called in for a last-minute appearance. And considering the number of Marvel world movies in development and an inevitable "The Avengers" sequel, it won't be long before Black Widow is kicking ass again.
"Iron Man 3" opens on May 3, 2013.
