Shudder Streaming Service Offering 30-Day Free Trial For Those Self-Isolating

With streaming becoming a huge part of our lives as we keep our social distance and self-isolate in the comfort of our homes due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, you may only consider platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney+, and other billion-dollar corporations for your entertainment. But don’t forget about those streaming services that might not have the expansive library or Mickey Mouse’s support, but are still offering some of the best entertainment you can find without leaving your couch. Case in point—Shudder, who is now offering a pretty great deal to help you stay sane through these ridiculous times.

To help encourage people to test out the service during the COVID-19 pandemic, Shudder is offering new members a 30-day free trial (use the code “SHUTIN”) to help you pass the time. And honestly, if you’re a fan of horror, thrillers, and other genre fare, you should already have a Shudder account already.

Shudder is a bit of a niche offering, as it’s a platform devoted to those projects that fall into the category of horror thrillers. However, don’t expect the library to be filled with the dregs of the old Blockbuster horror section. I mean, those films are there and are incredible for people that enjoy a bit of schlock. But Shudder also caters to the discerning cinephile that doesn’t mind a bit of gore to go along with their art.

Films like “Revenge” (one of the better horror films of the last five years), “Mandy,” and Nicolas Winding Refn’sPusher” series are all things you can find in the Shudder library. Also, if you’re a fan of Stephen King, there’s the recently-rebooted “Creepshow” anthology series that is exclusively found on the service.

And before you write this off as some sort of paid advertisement, you’d be surprised to know that Shudder didn’t do anything to entice me to write this. In fact, I’m just a fan of the service and have been for a long time. And as someone that enjoys a fair amount of horror and schlock, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better streaming option.
