‘The Seventh Day’ Trailer: Guy Pearce Trains A Young Exorcist In The Ways Of Demon Vanquishing

Ever since “The Exorcist” scared the hell out of people decades ago, Hollywood has been obsessed with the idea of possession in horror films. We’ve seen all sorts of takes on the “exorcist walks into a room”-type of film. And the latest is the new horror film, “The Seventh Day.”

As seen in the trailer for the film, “The Seventh Day” follows the story of a young Priest that is recruited to learn the ways of exorcism from the best exorcist around, played by Guy Pearce. The older priest teaches his young padawan the ways in which you can vanquish a demon from an innocent body. This comes just in time for the duo to take on a case about a young boy who mysteriously murdered his whole family.

No, it’s not the most unique and clever idea for a film, but with Pearce leading the cast, you can expect at least one solid performance. And let’s be real, exorcisms are still freaky and if done right, can still leave viewers with plenty of nightmares.
