Looks like Blumhouse and Focus were the only ones revealing much to the public at WonderCon. Last night they showed off the first teaser trailer from “Sinister 2”, and today they revealed the first clip from “Insidious: Chapter 3,” two supernatural horror franchises the studio hopes to eventually connect in the Marvel shared universe model (points for originality of course).

The third chapter in the ‘Insidious’ series is a prequel and stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell, and Lin Shaye. The directorial reins of the series have been passed on too. James Wan has gone off to join the ‘Fast & Furious‘ series, but Whannell, who wrote all the original films and has been Wan’s longtime horror-writing partner, has taken over, so those who are worried should be comforted that the original creator is now in control. The newest chapter in the terrifying horror series is written and directed by franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell. This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.
