Watch: Clip From Woody Allen's 'To Rome With Love' Plus More Images From The Film

nullJust like clockwork, a new Woody Allen movie is in theaters, continuing the director's annual output he's keeping up for years and years now. And while "To Rome With Love" has been playing thus far in limited release, this weekend Sony Pictures Classics will launch it wide, and to help ring in the occassion, a new clip (via Deadline) and a batch of new images have arrived for his latest Euro jaunt.

The ingredients are the same as they've always been with an exotic location, a big ensemble (Allen, Judy Davis, Alec Baldwin, Penelope Cruz, Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Page, Alison Pill, Greta Gerwig, Roberto Begnini and more) but this time in a quartet of overlapping stories. There are love triangles, parents meeting their child's partners, celebrity obsession, sex and more, all set against an impossibly beautiful setting…so yeah, all the familiar themes and preoccuptions of the filmmaker are out in full effect. We caught the film at the L.A. Film Festival and while we weren't bowled over, the short version is that, it delivers what you expect: "…the score is pitch perfect, the dialogue is quippy and quirky and lands a few good zingers, and moviegoers will be pleased with the abundance of comely faces, toned bodies and Roman vistas. At its best, it's innocuous, marginally funny, amiable, pleasant and cute, but at its worst, it's forgettable, harried and too long, with none of the stories are given the chance to develop into anything emotionally resonant."

So get out your passport wallet, head to your local theater and get a ticket on July 6th. A little clip and a handful of new pics below.  nullnullnullnullnullnullnullnull
