Watch: First Trailer For Ghoulish Christmas Horror Comedy ‘Krampus’ with Adam Scott, Toni Collette & More

KrampusLooking for an irreverent and twisted take on the holidays? Legendary Pictures has just what you need with the darkly festive yuletide ghoul “Krampus.” A horror comedy directed by Michael Dougherty (“Trick ’r Treat”), “Krampus” stars newcomer Emjay Anthony, Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Stefania Lavie Owen and Krista Stadler. Here’s the official synopsis:

When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.

And FYI, Krampus and the mischievous underlings have been created by the combined efforts of Weta Workshop and Weta Digital, known for their work on “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogies among many others.

Universal Pictures will release “Krampus” on December 4. Watch the first trailer below.
