Robert Pattinson Wants A Hot Dog In Hilarious Short Film 'Fear & Shame'

“The only thing I do is read script after script waiting for something to hit me. I like stories that feel authentic and it’s just difficult to find. There are a lot of scripts that feel like the writer read a newspaper article and then tried to use their knowledge from film schools to adapt it. That doesn’t interest me,” Robert Pattinson recently told Variety about his process in selecting movies. “Once I find something and feel really obsessed with it, I feel like I can really connect with the character and bring them to life.”

However, for every project that Pattinson falls in love with, such as this week’s terrific “Good Time,” there are undoubtedly more he tosses in the bin. Sometimes, you have to make things happen for yourself, and that’s just what he’s done with “Fear & Shame.”

Written by Pattinson, and directed by Vikram Gandhi (“Barry“) the short film, released by GQ, follows the actor as he dodges his own celebrity in order to get a hot dog. It’s surreal and weird stuff, and pretty amusing too with its intentionally overcooked voiceover. And who can’t relate with the sudden urge to eat a hot dog?

Check it out and be sure to see “Good Time” when it opens this weekend.
