Vin Diesel Wants To Bring Paul Walker Back To 'The Fast And The Furious' Franchise

When Paul Walker tragically passed away during the midst of filming on “Furious 7,” it was an emotional time. The loss of the actor hit the tight-knit cast and team behind “The Fast And The Furious” franchise very hard, but not only they did they manage to regroup and finish the film, they gave the actor what many considered an touching send off in the final moments of the movie (see below). But it seems that Vin Diesel can’t quite let go of his late friend.

Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody, who assisted on “Furious 7” by standing in for their sibling when filming resumed on the movie following his death, have revealed that Diesel has contacted them, looking to get their approval to revive Walker’s character Brian O’Conner.

“I had a phone call with Vin for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back. He wanted [our] blessing,” Caleb told Entertainment Tonight. Apparently, Diesel wanted to know when it “would be acceptable to maybe bring Paul’s character back… to really kind of let his fans know he’s still out there.”

We already live in age when deceased musicians are being brought back as holograms, so I guess it’s only a matter of time until cinema follows a similar path. But there’s also something to be said for respecting the memory and legacy of someone’s work, and letting them truly rest in peace. “Furious 7” already provided the closure many were looking for, and bringing Walker back, digitized no less, would arguably cheapen that moment.
