Watch The Spectacular Full Trailer For Bong Joon Ho's 'Okja' With Tilda Swinton & Jake Gyllenhaal

Cannes is officially underway (catch up on our coverage so far), and easily one of the most anticipated movies of the festival is the latest from Bong Joon Ho, the masterful Korean filmmaker behind “Memories Of Murder,” “The Host,” “Mother” and “Snowpiercer.” His second English-language movie has seen Bong escape the distribution issues that came with The Weinstein’s pick up of “Snowpiercer” (which remains unreleased in places in the UK, and was heavily delayed in the US amidst conflicts over the final cut) and take the Netflix dollar.

The film follows a young girl (An Seo Hyun) who has to rescue her best friend, a giant genetically modified creature, from the clutches of an international corporation who want to use it for meat, and from the full trailer for the movie (scored by The Mamas & The Papas’ “Dedicated To The One I Love”), which Netflix just debuted ahead of the film’s Cannes premiere tomorrow morning, it looks like an amazing blend of, well, “The Host,” “Snowpiercer” and “E.T.

Co-written by Bong and “Frank”’s Jon Ronson, the film also stars Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano, Lily Collins, Steven Yeun, Devon Bostick, Daniel Henshall, Shirley Henderson, Giancarlo Esposito and Jake Gyllenhaal, and it’ll debut on Netflix, and some select theaters, on June 28th.
