“Novocaine”
Jack Quaid is already having a busy year, first with the horror film “Companion,” and now with the action thriller “Novocaine.” Quaid stars as a man whose inability to feel pain helps him on his rescue mission of his girlfriend, played by Amber Midthunder, after she’s taken hostage. Dan Berk and Robert Olsen direct with a script from Lars Jacobson. Ray Nicholson, Jacob Batalon, Betty Gabriel, and Matt Walsh also star.
Release Date: In theaters March 14 via Paramount Pictures.
“The Actor”
Director Duke Johnson (“Anomalisa”) makes his solo feature film debut (he co-directed “Anomalisa” with Charlie Kaufman) with “The Actor,” which is also his first live-action film. André Holland plays an actor suffering from amnesia in 1950 Ohia, who is stranded in a mysterious small town as he tries to get back to his life. Gemma Chan, May Calamawy, Asim Chaudhry, Joe Cole, Fabien Frankel, and more round out the cast.

“O’Dessa”
“Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink leads the post-apocalyptic musical drama “O’Dessa.” Kelvin Harrison Jr., Murray Bartlett, and Regina Hall will also star in the film, which will first premiere at SXSW. Sink stars as a young woman who must trade her life on a farm to set off on a journey to retrieve a family heirloom and rescue her one true love.
Release Date: Available to stream March 20 via Searchlight Pictures through Hulu.
“Disney’s Snow White”
Rachel Zegler (“West Side Story”) steps into the Disney ring as the least in the studio’s latest live-action adaptation of “Disney’s Snow White.” Directed by Marc Webb with a screenplay from Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson, the story reimagines the 1937 classic animated film, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Gal Gadot stars as the Evil Queen.
