'7500' Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Must Stop Airplane Hijackers In Amazon's New Thriller

Over the years, there have been a number of plane hijacking films. But many of those films take a look at a plane hijacking from the point of view of a badass action star. In the new thriller, “7500,” that premise is flipped on its head, as the only person that can help his crew and passengers is the man that is locked in a room alone.

As seen in the trailer for “7500,” the film follows the story of American co-pilot, Tobias, a young guy that is actually dating one of the flight attendants. However, what seems like a normal flight turns into chaos as hijackers attempt to take over the plane. Trapped in the cockpit, unable to open the door for fear of letting the villains inside, Tobias has to figure out how to safely land the plane, take care of the passengers, and make sure that his girlfriend doesn’t get hurt.

Here’s the synopsis:

It looks like a routine day at work for Tobias, a soft-spoken young American co-pilot on a flight from Berlin to Paris as he runs through the preflight checklist with Michael, the pilot, and chats with Gökce, his flight-attendant girlfriend. But shortly after takeoff, terrorists armed with makeshift knives suddenly storm the cockpit, seriously wounding Michael and slashing Tobias’ arm. Temporarily managing to fend off the attackers, a terrified Tobias contacts ground control to plan an emergency landing. But when the hijackers kill a passenger and threaten to murder more innocent people if he doesn’t let them back into the cockpit, this ordinary man faces an excruciating test.
