There are few actresses working today whose CV is as interesting or diverse as that of Juno Temple, but the past few months have shown just how diverse her range can be. This summer, not only did she have a small role in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises," but she also featured much more prominently as one of the key characters in William Friedkin's outrageous "Killer Joe." And as the season winds down, we'll see another avenue for her talents in the indie flick "Little Birds."
Co-starring with Kay Panabaker, with Kyle Gallner, Kate Bosworth and Leslie Mann in supporting roles, the film follows 15-year-old Lily (Temple) and her best friend Alison (Panabaker) as they come of age and yearn to escape to something better, while living on the shores of the Salton Sea among rundown trailer parks, rotting household items, drained pools and decaying streets. And as you'll see in this exclusive clip, the pair aren't above raising some hell either, though it seems to lead to some unintended consequences.
"Little Birds" premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011 and will land in theaters on August 29th. You can check out more info about the film on the official website and watch the clip below.
