’12 Years A Slave’ & ‘American Hustle’ Lead Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Nominees

American Hustle

And so begins another week of the awards season, with yet another organization shaking up the race or least mildly altering the dominoes. This time around it’s the Broadcast Film Critics Association who have revealed their nominees for 19th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. And the generally mainstream leading group has again gone mostly mainstream.
12 Years A Slave” and “American Hustle” earned thirteen nods each, with appearances in most of the key categories, and with Alfonso Cuaron‘s “Gravity” turning up with 10 nods. There are no real big shocks here though Daniel Bruhl continues to have a late season boost for his turn in Ron Howard‘s “Rush” with a nomination here. So too with Brie Larson, with a nod for her turn in “Short Term 12.”
Major categories below, full list of nominees right here. Statues are handed out on January 16th and you can turn into the ceremony on The CW.
