Watch: Michael Pena Presses Play For Exorcism Horror In Trailer For 'The Vatican Tapes'

The Vatican TapesAnother year, another exorcism movie. You might think audiences would already be tired of Hollywood serving one half-baked exorcism movie after another, but the bottom line is that people keep buying tickets, and if budgets are low enough, and profit margins continue to be decent, they’ll keep making them. And so, here we are with "The Vatican Tapes."

Mark Neveldine, co-director of those "Crank" movies, is at the helm, with Michael Pena starring as a priest who faces a tough case of demon possession, and blah, blah, blah, good and evil must battle again. Yep, there are jump scares and a young woman doing freaky/scary things  the usual ingredients of latter day exorcism movies. Of course, the only thing missing is an original idea, but we’re sure everyone got a nice paycheck and access to a good craft services table during the shoot.

"The Vatican Tapes" arrives on May 22nd. Watch below.
