‘Batman v. Superman’: More Plot Details Rumored, Ben Affleck Talks Casting & Jena Malone Spotted On Set

Batman V. Superman: Dawn of JusticeAs it usually goes with superhero movies, everyone has an opinion not only about "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," but also Warner Bros. plans for the DC Cinematic Universe, Zack Snyder‘s capabilities as a director and Ben Affleck suiting up to play an older version of Bruce Wayne. Veterans of conventional Hollywood films like Affleck could probably stand to be prepared for the onslaught of Wifi enabled commentary, and he says the studio girded him for the inevitable backlash that would come when he signed up for the part.

"Before I took the role, Warner Bros. gave me a bunch of past reactions to casting and said, ‘Are you sure you want to get into this? This is part and parcel of these movies now. There’s a lot of active fans with a lot of opinions.’ Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. I wouldn’t have taken the part if I didn’t trust my instincts in terms of the filmmaking," Affleck told EW. "I think Chris Terrio wrote a terrific script. Zack’s a great visual director. And there’s an interesting take. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t think I could do it."

Fair enough! Let’s move on to the actual movie itself. As usual, plot details are under lock and key, but the latest rumors concern villain Lex Luthor (spoilers ahead, duh). According to Badass Digest, Luthor will obtain the body of General Zod, and use his tissue to try to defeat Superman. He will attempt to synthesize Kryptonite from pieces of the World Engine. So, a criminal mastermind doing criminal mastermind stuff.

And though she hasn’t been officially announced (yet), Man Of Steel Fan Page pointed out that Snyder’s "Sucker Punch" star Jena Malone has been spotted on the set of ‘Dawn Of Justice.’

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice" opens on March 25, 2016.
