Got a Tip?

‘Uncle Frank’ Trailer: Paul Bettany & Sophia Lillis Star In ‘American Beauty’ Writer’s Newest Film

While many people really think of Paul Bettany as Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, given that’s the bulk of the film work he’s done over the past half-decade, we tend to forget that Bettany is just one of the most versatile actors working today and has been for years. And he gets to flex his acting muscles in the upcoming Amazon film, “Uncle Frank.”

Shedding his British accent for a Southern twang, Bettany stars as the title character in the upcoming dramedy, “Uncle Frank.” The film tells the story of Frank, a gay man that has spent the bulk of his adult life hiding his true self from his very conservative family. However, when his young niece learns of his sexuality, he is urged to face the trauma and secrets that he’s been hiding for years.
