‘Mother’s Milk’: Hilary Swank, Olivia Cooke & Jack Reynor To Star In New Opioid Thriller

Stories about opioid abuse are starting to become more and more prevalent in Hollywood, as the epidemic is undeniable in the US. And the latest film to take a look at the opioid issue is the upcoming, “Mother’s Milk.”

According to Variety, Hilary Swank, Olivia Cooke, and Jack Reynor have all signed on to star in the new thriller, “Mother’s Milk.” The film tells the story of a mother who goes off to seek those responsible for the murder of her estranged son. Along the way, she teams up with her son’s pregnant girlfriend, as they go on a mission into the drug-filled underworld. “Mother’s Milk” is directed by Miles Joris-Peyrafitte, who co-wrote the feature alongside Madison Harrison

“Getting this film made has been a personal dream of mine for six years and assembling a stellar cast like this is more than I ever could have hoped for,” Joris-Peyrafitte said. “I’m so excited to bring this story to life with them and my team of amazing producers.”

Swank has recently starred in projects such as “Fatale,” “Away,” and “I Am Mother.” Cooke is next going to be seen in the highly-anticipated HBO series, “House of the Dragon.” Jack Reynor has starred in “Midsommar” and “Cherry,” among many other roles. Also joining the cast of “Mother’s Milk” are Dilone, Hopper Penn, Norm Lewis, and Karen Aldridge.

“Mother’s Milk” recently finished production in New York, but a release date for the film has yet to be announced. But with a cast like this, you have to assume distribution will be easy to find.
