Got a Tip?

David Lynch Reportedly Shooting New ‘Twin Peaks’ Promo, New DVD Release Rumored

Twin Peaks

Update: Co-creator Mark Frost calls all this “Another strange baseless rumor.” As you were…

While those rumors a year ago of a possible third season of David Lynch‘s cult classic TV series “Twin Peaks” were debunked as quickly as they came forward, it appears that the director/creator isn’t done with Laura Palmer just yet. It looks like we’ll all have a reason return to Twin Peaks soon.

The guys at Bleeding Cool recently received a casting notice looking for a very well built woman to play waitress for a promo that Lynch will be shooting for “Twin Peaks” tomorrow. So what’s it all for? According to the site, they surmise the spot is for a forthcoming home video release of “Twin Peaks” that will not only include to the TV show, but the prequel film “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me,” 45 minutes worth of deleted scenes and more.  (Seemingly, this is much more than in the “Twin Peaks – The Definitive Gold Box Edition” released a few years ago, which we guess is no longer definitive.)

Now, none of this is confirmed, so don’t get too excited just yet, but if all goes according to plan, the tentative street date is March 25, 2014 (which, as BC notes, is 25 years after Dale Cooper met Laura Palmer in the Black Lodge)…
