No, you’re not experiencing a time warp, a new Terminator movie is indeed on the way. With production on the movie revving up in time for next summer’s release date, some new details emerging about the sequel slated to star Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney and J.K. Simmons. Arnold Schwarzenegger will also be returning for “Terminator: Genesis,” and he reveals to MTV how the Alan Taylor directed flick will explain the cyborg’s older appearance.

“The way that the character is written, it’s a machine underneath,” Schwarzenegger said. “It’s this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator’s flesh ages, just like any other human being’s flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages.” So, with T-800 getting older, and with the actor playing him perhaps not in the right shape to kick ass as moviegoers will expect, they’ve found a way to keep the killing machine ticking.

“Terminator deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800, and then what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets ahold of him,” Arnie adeded. “So it will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie, but I feel so good.”

Time travel? Two T-800s? It’ll be interesting to see how the sequels folds back over itself to both accommodate continuity and the requirement that Arnold Schwarzenegger has to star in it. According to THR, “Attack The Block” star John Boyega is being sought for a part that will connect this film presumably back to “Terminator 2: Judgment Day“:

In case you need a refresher, Joe Morton played Miles Dyson, and was the brains behind what would become Skynet, which all know became self-aware and waged war against humanity. He also had a pretty spectacular death in ‘Judgement Day.’ So, is Miles back for revenge?

Thoughts? You know where to leave ’em. “Terminator: Genesis” boots up on July 1, 2015.
