'Behind You' Trailer: New Horror Film Doesn't Make Staying At Home Feel All That Safe

With the coronavirus pandemic forcing most people to stay indoors and find interesting things to do from the comfort of their own homes, you may be tempted to explore the basement or attic. Well, make sure you watch the trailer for “Behind You” before you go and do something silly like that.

In the trailer for the new horror film, “Behind You,” we see that those relics that are gathering dust in your attic or basement could be the key to inviting a demon to your home. So why the hell would you possibly want to invite a demon when you’re stuck in the house staying safe from a global pandemic? Just sit and watch Netflix like the rest of us.

The film stars Addy Miller, Elizabeth Birkner, Philip Brodie, and Jan Broberg. “Behind You” is written and directed by Andrew Mecham and Matthew Whedon. The film marks the duo’s directorial debut.

Interestingly, and completely irrelevant to the film in question, Broberg is probably best known for her life story, which involves multiple kidnappings. In fact, many film and TV fans will recognize her from her appearance in the documentary “Abducted in Plain Sight,” which was released on Netflix and became one of the platform’s more popular true-crime entries.

“Behind You” will play in select theaters and VOD on April 17.

Here’s the synopsis:

Two young sisters, sent to live with their estranged Aunt, find that all the mirrors in her house are covered or hidden. When one of the sisters happens upon a mirror in the basement, she unknowingly releases a malicious demon that had haunted her mother and aunt years ago.
