Chris Pine Opens Up About 'Star Trek 4' Status And The Internet's New Fascination With His Penis

As with the many Chris’ in Hollywood, including Hemsworth, Evans, and Pratt, Chris Pine is attempting to put together a filmography that reigns supreme. Sure, he doesn’t have the Marvel Cinematic Universe behind him (he does have “Wonder Woman,” though), but Pine has put together some great performances, particularly leading the way in the recent “Hell or High Water” and the upcoming “Outlaw King,” which premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

However, even with awards-caliber performances, everyone still wants to talk about his potential involvement in “Star Trek 4.” Oh yeah, and his penis.

Let’s tackle the bigger issue of “Star Trek 4,” for a second. Coming on the heels of reports saying that the actor (along with other Hollywood Chris, Chris Hemsworth) is in a bitter dispute over a new contract to return to the sci-fi franchise. The latest reports say that there’s a high likelihood that Pine could forego the next entry in the long-running ‘Trek’ franchise.

Speaking to Variety, at the TIFF premiere of “Outlaw King,” Pine addressed those rumors. When asked if he’d like to be part of “Star Trek 4,” the actor replied, “I don’t know. I mean, I’d love to be involved. We’ll see what happens. You know, I’ll await the phone call. Until then, I look forward to it.”

Now, with that out of the way, let’s discuss the topic that is all over social media after the world premiere of the aforementioned “Outlaw King” — Pine’s…ummm, member.

No, people aren’t really talking about how great his performance is in the David Mackenzie action film. They’re not talking about the brutal violence. People have no interest in anything other than Chris Pine’s penis. Unless you’ve stayed off Twitter the last 24 hours, you probably are well aware that the actor bares all in a scene in the upcoming film that is surely going to be one of the most-paused films on Netflix.

And boy, oh boy, people are apparently liking what they saw (take a look at some of the tweets below). That being said, THR caught up with Pine (and the rest of the folks behind “Outlaw King”) to talk about the infamous scene.

“What I find very funny is there’s so much beheading in [‘Outlaw King’] and yet, people want to talk about my penis,” said the actor. “I think it says something about our society where people get disemboweled but it’s the man’s junk that is of interest.”

If you’re not able to check out the film playing at during the upcoming fall film fests, then you’ll have to wait to see Chris Pine, in all his naked glory, when “Outlaw King” hits Netflix on November 9.
