“Christmas” stars Brittany Snow and Justin Long. Both have seen success this year thanks to the horror genre; Snow appears in Ti West’s “X,” while Long has a role in the surprise box office hit “Barbarian.” Julia Duffy, George Wendt, and JoAnna Garcia Swisher round out the cast.
The film’s most intriguing aspect may be its script from Barbara Kymlicka, Vince Vaughn, and Dan Lagana. This isn’t the first time Vaughn has contributed to a screenplay, with credits on comedies “The Break-Up,” “Couples Retreat,” and “The Internship.” Kymlicka is a veteran of the holiday genre and counts numerous credits on made-for-TV seasonal films.

The traditional holiday romance movie, from the writer of “You Light Up My Christmas” and the director of “The Christmas Bow,” gets a little more fun this year with a spin from co-writers Vince Vaughn (“Couples Retreat”) and Dan Lagana (“American Vandal”). In “Christmas with The Campbells,” when Jesse gets dumped right before the holidays by her boyfriend Shawn, his parents convince her to still spend Christmas with them, and Shawn’s handsome cousin, while Shawn is away.
