'Falling Inn Love' Trailer: Netflix's Latest Rom-Com Focuses On Unexpected Love In New Zealand

You know all those contests that exist in real life that give away entire Bed & Breakfast Inns for people online? No? Oh, that’s probably because they don’t really exist, huh? Well, in the world of the new Netflix film “Falling Inn Love,” a contest-winning woman moves to New Zealand to renovate an inn but finds love instead.

Sure, the premise is a bit weak, but Netflix has been hitting it out of the park recently with its litany of low-to-mid-budget rom-coms. And clearly, if the trailer is any indication, the streaming service is banking hard on two beautiful people falling in love in the gorgeous island of New Zealand to carry the latest film. As mentioned, “Falling Inn Love” seems to be Netflix’s latest attempt to provide a great way to kill a couple of hours and escape to some fairy tale setting that probably would never exist in real life.

Synopsis:

Gabriela Diaz’s (Christina Milian) San Francisco design firm folds the week of her break-up. Inspired by a potent concoction of wine and Wi-Fi, she successfully enters a contest to “Win an Inn” overlooking New Zealand’s countryside. Thousands of airline miles later, she discovers The Bellbird Valley Farm boasts a crumbling facade, floorboard-treading goat, and meddling neighbor who covets the space. Eager to renovate and sell the property fast, she partners with Jake Taylor (Adam Demos), the Kiwi contractor and volunteer firefighter observing much of her city-girl culture shock. Once the final fixtures are hung, she’s hesitant to leave him, the inn, and the inviting community that nurtured her creative side.
