“Eleven Missing Days” is a new drama that focuses on the events surrounding the disappearance of acclaimed whodunit author Agatha Christie, with actress Felicity Jones (“The Brutalist,” “Train Dreams”) set to play the missing writer, and co-stars alongside Vincent Cassel (“The Shrouds”)
The package deal is heading to the Cannes Film Market with Fortitude International handling the sales by introducing it to buyers this week. Also, the report from Deadline says that Cassell is set to “play a retired Belgian police detective who gets drawn into the case, in an echo of Christie’s most famous sleuth, Hercule Poirot.”

Also, Bertie Ellwood (“Silo”) is directing the drama from a script penned by Ernesto Foronda (“Better Luck Tomorrow”), which is based on the Jared Cade book “Agatha Christie & the Eleven Missing Days.” Other co-stars named among the cast are Nicole Elizabeth Berger (“He’s Watching You”) and Oliver Trevena (“The Gorge”).
A logline mentioned by the outlet:
“In December 1926, at the height of her fame, Agatha Christie became front-page news when she vanished in bizarre circumstances from her home. In a case of life imitating art, this whodunnit explores the investigation behind her disappearance, strangely resembling an Agatha Christie novel itself, where everyone in her life became a suspect.”
Christie’s disappearance was sort of a local/international news spectacle, with fellow author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (“Sherlock Holmes” creator) being drawn into the search, which remains a bit of a mystery, as there had been theories like brain trauma sustained from a car crash to trauma from depression.
After being quietly in development for a decade, it is being produced by Serena Films’ Tatiana Kelly, Animus Films’ Jim Young, Green Light Pictures’ Lucas Jarach, Nadine de Barros of Fortitude International, Joshua Harris of Peachtree Media Partners, and James Cunningham from Object & Animal. Executive producers include Ford Corbett and Nathan Klingher for Gramercy Park Media, Landon Ash, Richie Walls, Brando Eaton, Jeff Rice, Jeff James, Nicole Mejia, Frank Walker, and Marc Gabizon. And lastly, Range Media Partners is overseeing the U.S. rights of the film.
It’s quite an interesting pairing of talent, and “Eleven Missing Days” should be one to keep an eye on. With the pic already in pre-production, there is an expectation that filming is going to kick off this summer in the United Kingdom.
