Forget About That Theory You Had About The Joker In 'Suicide Squad'

It really doesn’t take much for a rumor about a comic-book movie to take hold. Remember when everyone was convinced that Scoot McNairy was playing The Flash in “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice“? Or wait, was it Jimmy Olsen? It turned out the correct answer was neither. And so, whatever you’ve heard about The Joker in the upcoming “Suicide Squad” is probably wrong.

One theory that has been floating out there for a while now is that Jared Leto‘s villain was actually Jason Todd aka Robin, killed by the Joker, resurrected from death, and now roaming the streets as Red Hood. It’s a story from the pages of the comics, we know that Jason Todd is already dead in ‘Batman v Superman,’ Red Hood recently appeared in the videogame “Batman: Arkham Knight” — and apparently that was all the evidence needed to make this rumor gain steam. But sorry, it’s not to be.

“It ain’t the case. He’s not,” director David Ayer told WSVN-TV rather succinctly. So there you go.
