Got a Tip?

Kevin Durand, Marton Csokas & Dakota Goyo Book Passage On Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’

nullWe'll say this, Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" is going to provide all kinds of opportunities for puns and riffs on its title over the next couple years as the movie blog world tracks its development. So bear with us as we use up our supply of clever ways to play on one of the most well known Bible stories besides the one about Jesus.

Anyway, a few more actors are docking on this one with Kevin Durand ("Cosmopolis," "Lost," "Resident Evil: Retribution," basically everything), Marton Csokas ("Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," "The Bourne Supremacy") and Dakota Goyo (the kid from "Real Steel"; not a robot) all joining the picture. And the roles are interesting, with Durand set to play "one of the giants who helps Noah and his family" (we missed that part of the Sunday School version of the story) and Goyo slotted in as the younger version of Russell Crowe's Noah. No word yet on Csokas' role.

As you might remember, Aronofsky's "Noah" is a bit more pumped up than what your pastor or priest may have related, and is set to feature eleven-foot-tall angels with six arms and no wings, and a rugged Mad Max-style Noah who is both a fighter and healer. The story is already something quite epic, but it seems Aronofsky is pushing it even one step further.

Co-starring Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Ray Winstone and Anthony Hopkins (pretty damn awesome cast), production is underway and the rains will come (we warned you) on March 28, 2014. [Variety/Deadline/Variety]
