Kevin Feige Says Netflix's Marvel Characters & Actors Could Still Return: "Everything Is On The Table"

With “WandaVision” airing on Disney+ tomorrow, it’s a week full of Kevin Feige interviews and Marvel news, and this week the MCU studio chief has teased the return of Netlflix characters and actors again. Early this week when asked about the potential return of some of the Netflix characters and potentially the same actors who played them—Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones), and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) Feige teased, “well, you never know.” And today, the Marvel Studios Chief was more forceful in his hints.

First up though, he was asked directly about Charle Cox returning as Daredevil in Sony’s upcoming “Spider-Man 3″—a real rumor floating around right now— and perhaps tellingly, Feige flat-out refused to say nothing, literally just not responding to the question. Take that as you will (though those saying silence equals confirmation, no it doesn’t work that way; the guy could have just been easily annoyed as he often is during press days).

“Everything is on the board,” Feige explained. “That’s one of the fun things about the comics is that characters would appear and disappear and come and go. All of it is inspiration for the future. There are some great characters and actors from those shows.”

That’s probably the strongest hint in the favor of something resembling a yes, so far. For a long time, it really seemed like Disney+ would want no ties to Netflix, nor the old Marvel TV era run by Jeph Loeb (who has been since ushered out of Marvel), and would want to do their own thing, but it seems like Feige has definitely warmed up to the idea of some of these actors returning.

Cox and Ritter have already been rumored to be returning from various not-always-reputable online sources (none confirmed), but the general consensus seems to be Colter and Jones’ shows weren’t that well received and the likelihood of their re-casting seems doubtful.

So far, none of it is confirmed, but if one were to suppose if Feige does allow anyone to return it’s like either Cox or Ritter or both. Their surrounding co-stars probably wouldn’t return however, many of them have gone on to other gigs, and recasting everyone and doing deals for all of them seem unlikely.
