Amazon's 'Lord Of The Rings' Series Adds 20 More Castmembers To Its Huge Ensemble

If you’ve watched Peter Jackson’sLord of the Rings’ films, you know that the world that was set up by author J.R.R. Tolkien is vast and populated with tons of various people and monsters. So, it shouldn’t be all that surprising that the already-packed cast for the upcoming Amazon series inspired by the novels would be adding even more people to the ensemble for the show. 20 new people, to be precise.

According to Amazon, the latest members of the incredibly large cast include Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Maxim Baldry, Ian Blackburn, Kip Chapman, Anthony Crum, Maxine Cunliffe, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Thusitha Jayasundera, Fabian McCallum, Simon Merrells, Geoff Morrell, Peter Mullan, Lloyd Owen, Augustus Prew, Peter Tait, Alex Tarrant, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, and Sara Zwangobani.

Obviously, it would take forever to list all the accomplishments and best-known roles for every member of the cast, but needless to say, their experience ranges from lead roles in high-profile projects to relative unknowns experiencing their first big break. And honestly, for all 20 of these folks, we have to assume that “The Lord of the Rings” is the biggest project they’ve all had the pleasure of working on.
