After a decade of working in Hollywood, Mikey Madison is now an Oscar winner. The star of Sean Baker’s “Anora” won the Best Actress Oscar in, arguably, the most competitive race of the night. In winning the Academy Award, Madison triumphed over heralded performances from Demi Moore (“The Substance”), Fernando Torres (“I’m Still Here”), Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked”), and Karla Sofía Gascón (“Emilia Perez”).
