Tom Holland Says His Uncertain Marvel Fate Was His Most Stressful Experience Ever

As if he needed the help, fans have yet another reason to go all heart-eyes over actor Tom Holland. The young actor has already become a bit of a pop culture icon and legend thanks to his role as Peter Parker in the Marvel Studios-produced ‘Spider-Man’ films. But adding to his legacy as a fan-favorite is the fact that it was recently revealed that the actor played a pivotal role in getting Disney and Sony back together to negotiate a return for Spidey in the MCU.

And to top it off, recently, Holland admitted that that month where his future was uncertain was incredibly stressful, leading many of his fans to want to digitally embrace the poor kid. Because, of course, Tom Holland is just so damn adorable.

Speaking at this weekend’s ACE Comic-Con (via Twitter), Holland reportedly spoke up about the time between the news that Sony and Disney were parting ways and the revelation that the two studios had mended fences and would be working together. All told, it was 38 harrowing days for the actor.

A Twitter user explained, “tom holland said the most stressful thing that’s ever happened to him was being kicked out of the mcu…”

This was immediately followed by the user threatening Disney and Sony with “catching these hands” because they dared stress out Tom Holland. The horror! As you might expect, the tweet had some equally passionate replies, including others saying, “They’re gonna fucking get all 4’10 and a half of me” and “I HATE THEM.”

Seriously, if you haven’t learned by now, Tom Holland is beloved by fans, who treat the 23-year-old actor as if he’s some defenseless little lamb that the big, bad studios will chew up and spit out. Not saying that this passion is misplaced or a gross overreaction, but I’m pretty sure that Holland is more than capable of defending himself.

Either way, the passion that his fans show him obviously influenced his desire to call up Disney CEO Bob Iger and get him to meet up with Sony one more time. And even though that’s not the only reason a deal worked out, Holland definitely helped.

So, consider this a warning for studios out there that want to cross Tom Holland. His fans are legion, for they are many. And they will not hesitate to threaten you via social media.
